CBD Balm

CBD Balm is fast becoming one of the most popular new products on the skin care market. Rich in active ingredients; it works by revitalising the skin, maintaining skin cells and providing a relaxing, soothing feeling.  Our CBD balm is packed full of natural extracts including coconut oil, beeswax, shea and cocoa butter, grape seed oil, Madagascar vanilla, and Rosemary essence.

Research into the many benefits of CBD is being conducted all the time.  By using CBD balm as a topical application, rather than taking CBD orally through CBD oil or CBD Vape, you can apply it directly to areas of the body where it is needed. Many people find CBD balm helps relax muscles or provides pain relief. It can also be used for areas of dry skin or for many other skincare issues.

The CBD in our balm is extracted from organically grown hemp plants. Our CBD balm is ‘full spectrum’ as research has shown that cannabinoids work best when other cannabis compounds such as terpenes, flavonoids and CBG are present.

What are The Uses for CBD Balm

Topical CBD products such as CBD balm have many uses. Below we’ve highlighted some of the best known. However, research into CBD products is happening all the time, and so this list is likely to grow.

– Joint pain such as Arthritis

– Swelling of joints

– Muscle aches and pains

– Psoriasis

– Eczema

– Rashes

– Neck pain

– Back pain

– Dermatitis

– Acne

– Nerve pain

– Pulled muscles, sporting related injuries

One of the key advantages of CBD balm is its versatility. The ability to apply CBD as a topical solution means it can treat a large number of conditions.

How Does CBD Balm Work

Within the human body, the endocannabinoid system (ECS) is known to play a vital role in the regulation and management of a vast range of functions. The ECS is a network of neurones that run throughout the body including our major organs, including the brain and skin.

A number of ECS receptors are known to be present in the skin and these help in areas such as cell growth and healing of wounds. CBD supports these receptors by slowing down the production of an enzyme that breaks cannabinoids down. This means that the bodies’ naturally occurring cannabinoids are more numerous and are therefore more effective.

Research is still ongoing. It was only in 1992 that the endocannabinoid system discovered, and a full understanding of its role in the body is still some way off. However, the studies into CBD and how it interacts with the system are generally positive.

Side Effects to Using CBD Balm

CBD is typically safe via topical application, and it’s rare for a user to experience any adverse side effects. However, as you would with any new product it’s always a good idea to test on a small patch of skin before applying more liberally.

If an allergic reaction does occur, it may not be the CBD that is the issue. The CBD Balm we supply includes a range of other ingredients designed to moisturise and revitalise the skin. These include coconut oil, beeswax, shea and cocoa butter, grape seed oil, Madagascar vanilla, and Rosemary essence. None of these ingredients commonly cause allergic reactions, but in a small number of people, a reaction may occur.

Topical CBD products available elsewhere can contain nut derivatives and in some cases alcohol. Individuals with a known intolerance should avoid Nut-based products.  Alcohol can aggravate many skin conditions, and so any products containing alcohol should be avoided.

How to Apply CBD Balm

CBD balm is a topical product for use on the skin only.

If you are using other medication or topical treatment for a skin condition or pain relief it’s recommended not to use CBD balm at the same time. Mixing products may cause unwanted reactions and while unlikely it’s worth checking with your doctor first.

After performing an allergy test, you can apply CBD balm directly onto the affected area. The quantity required is not an exact science and will vary from person to person and from complaint to complaint. To start, apply liberally and once per day. People using CBD Balm for pain relief have reported results within hours. Those treating skin conditions may have to wait a few days for results.

If your initial application does give you the results you want then try increasing the dosage gradually.
